Reception Site

We booked it!!! Such a relief.! We will be having our reception at the Rolla Lions Den and the Ceremony at Rolla Lions Club so its with in walking distance.  We will have the facility all weekend from Friday at noon until Sunday at Noon.  The facility also comes with a kitchen which can be used to hold food but not actually cook anything... It comes with 30 round tables and enough chairs for 250 people as well as several long tables... and a bartender for FREE. All of this is just $475 .. a little pricey but compared to other locations it is very affordable... we are so excited!!  Let the countdown begin.. 10-09-10 will be here before we blink an eye.

Update

Not much has happened in the last couple of days.  I got my veil in the
mail last week and my Tiara this week.  Love the veil but I'm debating
on not using the tiara... I guess well just see how it looks in the trial
run.   We called the Lions Den.. where we want to have the reception
today to set up an appointment and now were just waiting on a call back.
Hopefully they still have the date we want available!

Bridesmaid's Cards

My first DIY task completed!
I wanted to ask my Bridesmaids to stand up with me in a cute way... so after googling
I combined what I liked best about several different cards I saw. They took me about
an hour to complete but I was watching TV and doing other things at the same time.

I had everything I used in the house already so they didn't actually cost me anything to make!
but here is the the actual cost break down for those of you who want to duplicate them.

Ivory card Stock -- 2 8x10 sheets used $0.15 each, purchase from Hobby Lobby
Hot Pink Card Stock -- 2 8x10 sheets used $0.15 each, purchased from Hobby Lobby
4 envelopes stolen from an old pack of "Thank You" Cards-- $1 for a pack of 10 Wal-Mart or Dollar Tree
Ribbon -- About 2 feet used purchased on a roll of 9 feet at Wal-Mart for $1
Orange Paper -- Came in a big pack of paper I bought so we'll say $0.15 for 1 page used.

Total: About $1.40 for all 4 or $0.35 each!!

Welcome to my Blog

So... I've never had a blog before but I thought it would be a cool way of keeping people updated on my wedding planning fun... and I thought it might be fun to be able to look back at it after its all said and done.

Please bare with me as I'm sure that there will be hundreds or spelling mistakes, rants or even vents as the wedding process continues..

Eric and I are looking forward to the wedding and can't wait for that day to get here... but we know we have a lot of things to do to make it            happen... and being in school and working wedding planning kinda fits in where it can.
